Ink Dots are applied to wooden bat handles to aid in visual inspection of that bat’s straightness of grain on its face grain. Verifying that the tangential slope of grain is less than 3 degrees, per MLB specifications to aid in measure of bat durability and game safety.

Hi Matt, I had to use this bat today. The model 13 arrived this morning, When you pick up a 33″ -2 model 13 at first it feels like a kids bat I assure you it’s not! Once again I am a huge fan of the model 271 but the 13 is like it’s streamlined little brother. Man can you connect the ball with this bat! I think its one of the most balanced bat I’ve ever had the pleasure to swing. I also think it to be the best bat for contact hitters, due to the great barrel sharpening your hand eye coordination, forcing your senses to connect to the ball and when you do the dense maple fires a meteor like line drive or long comet. Thank you Annex for your dedication to helping players get that advantage of a 5 star plus product.

This is, without a doubt, the best wood bat that I have ever owned. Not only is it durable, but its sweet spot is second to none. I have personally used Annex Baseball’s 271 and Model X10, which were solid choices, but I have since stocked up on Model 13’s. I swung a 243 model from a few different bat manufacturers early in the 2013 season. Though 4 games I was 2-13 and didn’t feel comfortable at the plate. I switched to the AM13 model (never heard of this before from any other manufacturer) and proceeded to go 7-10 with 3 doubles and 4 BB’s in the next 3 games. Needless to say, this bat is all that it is hyped up to be. Custom straight from Annex, you can’t find this bat anywhere else. It’s got great pop too. Just missed a homerun to straight-away center with the wind blowing in. This is my bat choice from here on out.

AM13 My BatGetting back into the game after several years of absence and training with Aluminum I wanted to get back to wood bats. Based on the reviews I chose the 13 and I’m absolutely happy with it.My 32″ 13 is pretty light and seems small, it swings like a dream and the ball comes off really well – as if hungry for that outfield gap or the fence. The last game, one of my teammates sees my new bat and asks whether he can use it to warm up – of course; when he was on deck he asks whether he can take it to the plate. It felt so light and comfortable to him he asked several times if it was really an all wooden bat. Well first time with this bat for him: a solid double. It’s all the same for me – it feels so good and man is the sound nice when I connect. Absolutely top notch! I’ll have to get a few more.

I bought the Model 13 after using Marucci bats for 3 years. First day with the Model 13 was great. Went 4 for 4 and was a double short of the cycle. Great feel and plenty of pop! Highly recommended to all players!!
